Mirjam K. Fässler - Photographin She has travelled to all continents; she has sailed around all the oceans. Her permanent companion: the camera. Whether surrounded by thousands of penguins in the Antarctic, whether sailing together with the natives of Papua New Guinea or being amidst the world's best frigates - the ocean, travelling and photography are the passions of Mirjam K. Fässler.

Educated as a photographer, Mirjam K. Fässler started her career by leading several photo studios. Afterwards she worked four years on expedition ships of the Hapag Lloyd cruise fleet. Since 2004 Mirjam also acts as a producer for international customers in the area of TV. During the football world championship she took charge of logistical work and travel management for miscellaneous production companies and broadcasting services like ESPN Sports, Globecast, Fuji TV and TV Mexico Fässler was nominated for the Emmy award for her work for ESPN Sports and ABC News team in the USA.

The wide scope of Fässlers working area shows impressively the comprehensive portfolio she manages. Achieving numerous advertising objectives for German companies the photographer gave proof of her extraordinary competence: nude, food, architecture or industry are part of her repertoire as well as travel-reportages or picture lines about distant countries and cultures.

Just in time for the biggest boat fair in Düsseldorf in January 2008, Fässler releases her new book "Traumziele für Katamaran-Segler". Therein the photographer describes the best sailing grounds for catamaran sailors and provides extensive information about the area, the local peculiarities and the regional attractions. Over 250 multifarious photos accompany the descriptions and make this book a pleasure and delight to read.
